On the 1st June, Missions Ablaze celebrate our Birthday, join us in thanking God for his Grace and Favour which has allowed us to do his Work for the past 27 years. We Thank you, all our loyal supporters and friends who have been there over the years .

Father, We thank you for 27 years of “blazing” the mission fields of Southern Africa! how favoured we are to serve the poor!
We cannot wait to see what YOU, Father, has in store for us to fulfill our calling in the next 27 years!
2022
We started off the year, hopeful that the threat and spread of the Covid virus had slowed down. After the riots in July 2021 and the extended lock down period, our regional economy had really taken a bashing.
In April, KZN was hit with devastating floods – many roads, infrastructure and homes were washed away. Over 450 lives were lost. We had around 400mm of rain over a 3-day period, on our property, but were blessed not to have much structural damage, we were only without power and borehole water for 10 days. There is still no Municipal Water to our area. We had to run generators to keep our freezers and fridges cold as well as to get water for our Missionaries. This pushed our fuel bill up tremendously.
Then 2 weeks ago, the rain came again – nearly 300mm in just over 24 hours – more damage to our area. There are community halls being opened to accommodate families who have once again lost their possessions and had damage to their homes.
With your generous support, we have been able to hand out clothing bundles, non-perishable foods as well as cooking a hot meal for them. We use this time to minister and pray with them all. The need is ongoing and never-ending.
Our Missionaries are working together to serve as well as collecting food to ensure that our regular organizations are still receiving food from us – their needs have also increased with the displaced families around then.
We thank you all for your donations and prayers during these times, as without your help we would not have been able to reach out to help those in need.
Missions Ablaze is still assisting over 15 organizations on a weekly basis, with food and non-perishable goods. Our food parcels which we give out daily at lunch time has also increased – just after the floods we were making up over 120 a day. We also cook soup for 3 creches twice a week which provides the children with a warm nutritious meal.
Once again, it is your generosity, God’s Grace and Favour which allows us to do this work. We thank you for making a difference in so many lives.
Fellowship lunch – celebrating a Birthday at the Mission
Our current team of 18 voluntary workers are really growing in the Spirit. They all went to an Alpha course and have benefited a lot from that. They enjoy their Home Cell discussions on a Thursday and prayer meetings on a Friday evening.
They also attend devotions every morning where I challenge them on a daily basis that life is all about the intimacy that you only find with God. It is necessary that you have your conscience clear with God before your confidence and boldness will kick in!
Volunteers from Grace Church arrived on Saturday 7th May to paint our Ladies Dorm. Everyone got stuck in, and full of splashes, and the Dorm was painted inside and out during the morning.
Gate Feeding every day of the year.
Brenda and I were blessed to be able to attend the wedding of my eldest Grandson Wayne and Suselle near Pretoria over the long weekend end April.
Hein officiated at the wedding and a good family time was enjoyed by all over the weekend.
Kesia and Francois also asked me to dedicate their son Ruben (my great-grandson) to our Lord in a service on the Sunday.
We also had the privilege of meeting the other two great-grandkids born this year as well – And Wian
Our guest house at Missions Ablaze – Eagles Rise – is now firmly established. At the moment we have 3-en-suite bedrooms available on a BnB basis. Very convenient for overnight stays as we are 7km from King Shaka Airport, 15km from Ballito. Booking is through AirBnB and the link is https.//Airbnb.com/h/eaglesrise3
All proceeds go to sustaining the Mission. Kindly spread the word.
Prov. 22:22+23 “DO not rob the poor because he is poor, nor oppress the afflicted at the gate; for the lord will plead their CAUSE, and plunder the soul of those who plunder them”
You do not always know or see what it is that you mean to this ministry. We are forever thankful and aware of the fact that your part in the calling God has placed on our lives, is immense, and we cannot thank you enough for all you have done!
If you are one of the people reading this letter and are still not involved with us in this plea for the poor and needy, we want to give you an opportunity to become a part of it!Go to www.missionsablaze.org.za or Facebook/Missions Ablaze check us out there and contact us to help however you feel you could.

On the 1st of June 2022 we will have been in existence for 27 years. I still remember the day when I went into Uncle Trevor Yoko’s office in Springfield Park where I was head of the missions’ department Rhema Bible Church in Durban and they said it was time for me to move out of the church building and into independent organization that will run missions. While in Matchana, Empangeni, busy building a church, God gave me the name Missions Ablaze and the logo of the eagle rising from the world with a Cross on it and the slogan “We feed the poor” with the mandate of “ The upliftment of the poor and needy in Spirit, Soul and Body”. This all happened before I saw Uncle Trevor.
When we started Missions Ablaze 27 years ago, we initially rented a farm in Mount Edgecombe from Tongaat Hulletts. We believed we could rent the farm on a permanent basis, but two years later they came and said they needed it and will show us other places. When they showed us a few places, it was not for rent but to purchase. I told him that I could not buy, yet they insisted we cannot rent anymore so they took me to Hospital Hill Rd #1. When we got there and we parked the vehicle an audible voice said to me: ”This is your land” I asked the man next to me what did you say, he said he did not say anything, and again this voice repeated itself and for the second time it said “This is your land” So I looked at the land. and loved it When the man asked whether we are taking it I said yes, “Draw up the papers”, knowing I did not have one cent to pay with!
There was a lot of controversy about what we are getting and about the price, it took eight months to get that sorted out, but the moment that was completed, the money was in the bank and we could pay the price for the farm!! We want to thank God and give him all the honor today for what he has done. We are established on this farm and have been for many years! Thank you, Jesus!
