About Us

Missions Ablaze is registered as a Trust, with a Board of Trustees. The Board consists of 7 South African Trustees. We are also registered as a Non-Profit organization, as well as a Public Benefit Organization.

We started in 1995, when Dr. Conrad Mershon and Mr. Robin Read brought 50 volunteers from Christian Renewal Church in St. Simons Island, Georgia in the U.S.A., to do some missionary work, and help us feed and clothe the squatters in and around Durban.  This Church, Christian Renewal Church in St. Simons Island, Georgia, still supports us today.  Our hearts were knit together as they found us busy doing just that. At that time we were working with one of the local churches, yet we outgrew the whole situation, and the time came that we had to expand into something larger! GOD gave us the name Missions Ablaze with our Logo of the rising Eagle and the Cross in front of the world in a vision. From that time Missions Ablaze has really grown by leaps and bounds, having obtained the land that we are on currently as well as vehicles, equipment and all that we need to run the ministry! Although we have a great need, all our assets are fully paid for by the grace of our LORD.

On the base of Missions Ablaze we have between 15 and 30 full time missionaries all working voluntarily with no re-numeration. They are all taking part in all of our missionary activities that you can read about on the rest of these pages. The ministry is overseen by Tinus and Meisie Lindeque, founders of this ministry, and Hein van der Merwe, who is managing it, and they all report to a board of Trustees. This board holds them accountable for the management and the financial distribution of any donations made to Missions Ablaze. Any person or organization wanting to donate funds into this ministry will get acknowledgement of their donation by way of letter and are welcome to have insight into our yearly accounting report, for reference to where your donation is being utilized. None of our assets can ever be registered into the name of any private individual, and therefore corruption is minimized.
